Introduction

We are excited to present the first issue of Deeper Learning Journal of Practice! In Deeper Learning of Practice (DLJP), authors describe and analyze how they implement deeper learning strategies. Education practitioner readers are interested and appreciate learning from researchers. However, we appreciate learning from fellow practitioners, who have implemented practices we would like to try or enhance.

Though Deeper Learning Journal of Practice’s focus is implementation, DLJP builds bridges between practice and research. It also builds bridges between PK-12 education and college and university education. This issue of Deeper Learning Journal of Practice includes authors who provide deeper learning in early childhood, graduate school, elementary school, college, high school, and college faculty professional development. Whether you work with learners, at any level; or are a researcher or policy-maker, any of the articles will spark important professional learning.

Gratitude goes to For Deeper Learning’s Board of Directors for supporting the idea to create the Journal. Kudos to our authors who, in addition to serving learners day-to-day, have shared details of their practice, benefiting many more learners. Thank you DLJP’s 2022 Editorial Board, your dedication and efforts championed outstanding results. Great appreciation is for you, our readers – who strive to forward and strengthen deeper learning for all.

Enjoy Deeper Learning Journal of Practice!
